Misha and the Wolves
This feature documentary was produced by Met Films and was another opportunity for us to work with director Sam Hobkinson following on from Fear City. Misha's story came with very different challenges though. Firstly the language barrier as her early story is in Belgium, but more crucially, there is the fact that her entire life story had been a fiction.
Our research took us from Belgian synagogues to the Oprah Winfrey Show and many places in between. We acquired 4K natural history footage of wild wolves as well as heartbreaking footage of Jewish children in the holocaust, which was put to powerful effect in this film which delicately explores the horrors of that era, whilst cleverly taking us through the tale that Misha had invented to escape her own dark truth.
